COMMISSIONS
Having successfully completed over 300 original painting commissions during my art career, I am confident we can work together to create a beautiful artistic collaboration! I have been blessed with unlimited creativity in the form of Contemporary abstract, modern, transitional and impressionistic artworks, and can gently guide as well as listen. In addition, my styles can be 'pure' or stylistic elements can be blended together. I provide photos during the process, and welcome any and all direction. Or I can go into my highly independent mode, and need no hand-holding - whichever way flows better for my clients and the project. I value communication and customer service as top priorities.
Time Frames: Commissions normally take 3-5 weeks, depending on the project size & my scheduling. XXL paintings or collection deals normally take longer than 3 weeks. Dry time for eco-friendly oils is normally between 1-2 weeks. Rush Projects may be able available dependent on my schedule. U.S. shipping is always complimentary. International shipments (medium to extra-large) are normally crated.
5 EASY WAYS TO COMMISSION A PAINTING
From concept to completion, the client and artist work together to bring a concept/idea to reality. These are the 5 steps you will follow as you commission a painting!
1. Choosing the Artist
Finding the right artist to create your painting is the key to owning a painting you, your family, or your corporation, will enjoy and value for a lifetime! It is best to find an artist whose style reflects what you are looking for and who has experience producing paintings in the style you desire.
My painting style is Contemporary and ranges from abstract-modern to abstract impressionism/expressionism. I normally emphasize imaginative use of color, and intuitive or intentional lines, and naturist qualities in the majority of my artworks.
2. Provide Artist with Info OR Schedule an In-Person Consult
- What size(s) would you like your painting(s) to be?
- Do you feel strongly that certain colors or shades be included?
- Are you on a specific budget?
- What is your deadline?
Oftentimes, potential clients email me photos of walls or décor in residence or office for advise
3. Quote given to Client
The Artist will give you an initial quote for the Final Painting. The quote should include the cost of materials which varies for each painting. US Shipping or southern California delivery is complimentary.
4. First Payment Due & Painting Begins
After accepting the quote, a down payment will be paid and work will begin on the painting. Process photos or questions may be emailed to show and discuss progress and fine-tune the final work if needed. All feedback should be welcomed by the Artist in order to successfully complete the painting which you will love.
5. Client Receives Painting & Final Payment is Due
Once the painting is complete, the final payment equal to the remaining amount of the quote is due. Then the painting is either shipped or delivered!

- If you are in the Southern California O.C. area, we can meet in person if preferred. In-person meetings can take place in my Gallery Studio, the Laguna Beach Gallery, your residence or office, the Montage Laguna Beach, or Treasure Island Beach. I also work in Los Angeles, San Diego, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, and Santa Barbara areas on larger design projects. Commission meetings can also take place thru phone, email & Skype, both nationally and internationally. For public installations, both outdoor and indoor, I am available for national travel.
- Anything over $ 500, a 50% deposit starts our process. This is fully refundable at any time, as I want all my collectors to love their Original Paintings, as much as I enjoy painting them. I have never had a commission return in 16 years, but never say never, and offer this so clients can feel comfortable in beginning their Original Art project! Original Painting commissions should be a positive and exciting process, from start to finish. Balances are normally due at the time of ship.
